Best of luck to ace MMDL players Tom Curtin, Bette Cunningham and Tom Sawyer who leave today for Hull, England to represent the MMDL, Dart World and the USA, among others, at the 2012 Winmau World Masters tournament, one of the most prestigious international darts competitions in the world being held later this week.
Bette and the two Toms worked their way through the ADO national competitions to earn their right to represent their country at this event, the dream of every player who picks up the tungsten. These three players represent our league, country and our sponsors with class and dignity and have our full support for the best of success on the world darts stage.
According the the draw posted on the BDO website, here are our friend's first round matchups on Thursday, October 11:
Tom Curtin USA vs. Noel Redmond REP
Tom Sawyer USA vs Andrea Contino ITAL
- Bette Cunningham USA vs Angelique Maarse NED
It is unconfirmed, but it is possible that the World Masters will be televised here in the US on ESPN-3, so check your local listings. Our fingers are crossed for all three of our representatives to survive to the televised rounds of competition.
