[MMDL] Week 1 League Standings

Results for Week 1 of the Fall 2010 season are now available on the MMDL Statistics Website.  Follow the link below to review the scores for your area.  Any missing scores may be due to late mail and could be updated later.

Super A
Boston
Central
North Shore
South Shore

If your team has incurred penalty points, it is possible that your report was mailed late or there was a problem processing it (see the match report instructions printed on your captain's kit, item #14 for a full list of point penalties).  If you can not find the point deduction error on your match report, Captains should contact their Division Rep or AD to inquire about missing points.

If you are having trouble viewing the weekly standings on the MMDL Stats Website (stats.mmdl.org):
  • At the above website, click the link in the upper left labeled "league standings".
  • On the next page, make sure "Fall 2010" (or "Fall 2010-SA" for Super A standings) is selected in the drop-down menu and click the name of the area you wish to view (e.g. Boston, Central, North, South)
  • Note: Partial results may be available while match reports are being entered. Standings are typically completed by the end of the same week and this weekly email will be sent once the week's batch has been entered.
To view roster information and personal statistics, you must first create an account on the system (click the link for "create an account").  Once you have created an account, you MUST send an email with your username to MMDL Board Member, Dan Doherty (dand@mmdl.org), to have your new account connected to your statistics. You may also contact Dan if you need assistance creating your account.

> REMINDERS FOR CAPTAINS:

FILLING OUT MATCH REPORTS - Captains are urged to remember the following:
  • Mail the TOP WHITE COPY in the envelope provided.  Pink and yellow copies are for both captain's records. You are advised to store these sheets until the season is over in case of disputes or to examine for point deductions.
  • Write legibly - if the name of the player, team, points and other information can not be easily read, this increases the chance for errors and delays the publishing of the standings
  • Use First and Last names - so proper credit can be given to the correct player for wins and losses.
  • Start and End Times should be recorded in the space provided
  • Assign one of your players to review the report for accuracy at the end of the match
  • DO NOT tear, doodle or otherwise deface the report - have respect for the person who must process hundreds of them in a short time window
  • For additional tips and guidance on this subject, click here.
Complying with the above is extremely important for our ability to process our several hundred weekly match reports in a timely and accurate manner.  Your cooperation is greatly appreciated!

> MMDL NEWS & ANNOUNCEMENTS

601 FORMAT CHANGE FOR SPRING SEASON - Beginning in the Spring 2011 season, MMDL will be replacing the two 601 games with three doubles 501, DIDO in ALL DIVISIONS. A significant percentage of the league membership has expressed strong feelings in support of this change and the Board of Directors has made the difficult decision to implement this after the upcoming Fall season. IF YOU FEEL THIS IS NOT A CHANGE THAT YOU APPROVE OF, please let your opinion known to your Area Director, preferably with an email.  Click here to discuss this issue with other league members.

MMDL FLIGHT SCHOOL NOW TAKING NEW ENROLLMENTS - "Flight School" is a structured program designed to help anyone willing to put in the time to take their dart game to the highest level possible.  You'll follow a practice program designed by the legendary George Silberzahn, author of "Mastering the Art of Darts" and "Darts - Beginning to End," and be coached by Frank Smith, longtime MMDL member and multiple Super A State Champion. This program is open to any MMDL player with the desire to improve. For more information and to learn how to join, click here.

Good luck to all!
