[MMDL] Week 1 Results

Dear MMDL Member:

Results for Week 1 of the Fall 2009 season are now available on the MMDL Statistics Website:
http://stats.mmdl.org

** Please be aware there will be inevitable hiccups as we transition to this new scoring system.  Please have patience as we work out the bugs.

 

If your team's points are missing, it is possible that your report was mailed late or there was a problem processing it.  Captains should contact their AD to inquire about missing points.

To view the standings:

• At the above website, click the link in the upper left labeled "league standings".
• On the next page, make sure "Fall 2009" (or "Fall 2009-SA" for Super A standings) is selected in the drop-down menu and click the name of the area you wish to view (e.g. Boston, Central, North, South)
• Note: Partial results may be available while match reports are being entered. Standings are typically completed by the end of the same week and this weekly email will be sent once the week's batch has been fully entered.

To view roster information and personal statistics, you must first create an account on the system (click the link for "create an account").  Once you have created an account, you MUST send an email with your username to MMDL Board Member, Dan Doherty (dand@mmdl.org), to have your new account connected to your statistics. You may also contact Dan if you need assistance creating your account.

> REMINDERS FOR CAPTAINS:

FILLING OUT MATCH REPORTS - With the new online stat system it is imperative that captains remember the following:

• Write legibly - if the name of the player, team, points and other information can not be easily read, this increases the chance for errors and delays the publishing of the standings
• Use First and Last names - so proper credit can be given to the correct player for wins and losses.
• Cross Out names of players who did not actually play in the match before you sign and mail your sheet.

Complying with the above is extremely important for our ability to process over 400 weekly match reports in a timely and accurate manner.

UPDATED SCHEDULES - Area schedules are often subject to change for the first couple weeks of the season.  The most current schedules are available on the MMDL Fall 2009 section of our website.

WHEN CONTACTING MMDL - Please follow the proper chain of communication when contacting MMDL with any issues.  For the majority of cases, you are instructed to communicate directly with your Area Director or, in the Central Area, your Division Representative.  Email addresses and phone #s for ADs and Div Reps can be found on the outside of your captain's kit.  DO NOT reply to THIS email (MMDL gmail address), or your issue may not be addressed in a timely fashion.

SUPER A DISCUSSION - A special section has been created in the MMDL Forums for members to discuss the new Super A division.  All members are invited to participate and give their opinion on the new format, ideas for controlling match length and other issues.  Those who play Super A or are interested in playing at that level are highly encouraged to sign up for the forums and have your voice represented.  CLICK HERE to visit the Super A discussion forum.
