[MMDL] FREE ADO Qualifier - July 12 - Framingham Eagles

The MMDL BoD has approved a new program of qualifying events to increase participation in the national ADO program. The next free qualifier will be held with winners given a registration spot ($110 value) at the upcoming "US CUP" 501 competition on Aug 1 at the Barn in Amesbury.

This is a great opportunity to play long format darts, with no entree fee, there is nothing to lose. Come find out how good your skills are against other players from around the league.

Details of the qualifier
Date and Time: July 12, 2009; Registration at 11:30pm, start time: 12:30pm
Location: Framingham Eagles, 55 Park Street, Framingham, MA 01702
Fee: FREE
Format: 501 SIDO Long format TBD

[MMDL] Playoff Update: Congratulations Area Champions!

CONGRATULATIONS to all MMDL Area Champions!

All remaining teams now enter the League State Championship Semi-Finals.
North Shore Champions play South Shore Champions.
Boston Champions play Central Champions.

Be advised that MMDL playoffs take priority over summer league matches. Please exercise good sportsmanship and flexibility when arranging makeup matches if teams have a playoff conflict.

[MMDL] 501 Singles Championship Update

Dear MMDL Member:

Below is news about the updated qualifier RSVP list and clarification on the Finals Day events for June 13th. Also, see the bottom of this email for information about this Saturday's Darts to Defeat Cancer tournament in Braintree.

RSVP UPDATE
See below for the list of qualifiers. A "Y" or "N" next to a name indicates if a yes or no for attendance. If it is blank next to a name, then we did not receive a reply from that person as of noon today. If you know a qualifier that has not submitted their RSVP, please alert them to do so via email: mmdl.bod@gmail.com or phone: 978-882-1446 by Monday, June 8th.

LAST CHANCE TO QUALIFY - Clarification

All those who qualified at the regional tournaments will be seeded into 32-player brackets for the men's Gold, Silver and Bronze and into 16-player brackets for the women's purple and pink.
16 spots are still available for each men's bracket
6 spots are still available for each women's bracket
Those who want one last chance to qualify will pay a $20 entry fee
Competition for remaining spots will begin at the time designated on the Finals Event Flyer
Seeded qualifiers will begin competition as same-day qualifiers advance and knock-out into the 32- or 16-player brackets.

[MMDL] The Finals! -- MMDL 501 Singles Championship

Dear MMDL Member:

The MMDL Board of Directors is pleased to (finally) announce the location of this seasons MMDL 501 Singles Championship Finals.

QUALIFIER RSVPs
All qualifiers are required to RSVP their participation to the finals no later than Monday, June 8th. RSVPs can be made via email to mmdl.bod@gmail.com or by phone at 978-882-1446.

SAME DAY QUALIFIER OPPORTUNITY
If you did not qualify at one of the 4 recent area events, you have one last chance to get into the finals. Current qualifiers will be seeded into each level's draw. Those entering to qualify on June 13th should register at the times posted on the attached flyer for their last chance to win their way into the finals. Entry fee for this is $20. Also, don't forget, those who don't qualify in the lower divisions (Bronze, Silver) may opt to "play up" and register for the upper level competitions.

IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS regarding the playoffs, please contact your Area Director. ADs are extremely busy during the playoffs and have many other captains to consider, so please be patient and make sure you have all of your information and questions at hand when contacting them.

Additional Playoff Reminders:

1. Please remember to remind your sponsor about the possibility for Thursday night playoff matches and check their schedule for conflicts with holiday parties or other events.

2. Winning captains - DON'T FORGET - report playoff match results immediately following your win, call or email your area director as instructed on the playoff schedule sheet. Yes, this is so important we are typing it twice. Delay in reporting your results slows down all league playoff updates.

[MMDL] The Playoffs!

OK MMDL Members....this is what you play all season for. If you want the nicer shirt and the reputation that goes with it, you better hope that your best players' spouses have winter birthdays and no vacation left. Let's remember not to take ourselves too seriously, have some fun and enjoy the competition. There are underdog upsets every season, make this one yours. This is the largest steel tip dart league in the world in the greatest sports town on the planet. Let's show each other why that is. Where will amazing happen this year?....
