Musical Chairs World Championship?

If you are looking for a competitive change of pace to competing on the dartboard, we just received email from the organizers of the upcoming Musical Chairs World Championship being held at the Amesbury Sports Park on June 2, 2012. They are seeking to break the world record of 8,238 participants and looking for individuals and teams of 12 to compete for the $10,000 first prize with bonuses for any that win as a team. ADO Program - Many MMDL members are unaware that we are a charter member of the American Darts Organization (ADO) which governs the US player ranking and tournament system for darts. MMDL players are provided many opportunities throughout the year to represent our league at ADO competitions, including the upcoming FREE qualifier on April 28th. Visit our ADO page for a full explanation of what the ADO program consists of and how you can participate.

[MMDL] Free ADO Qualifier - 4/28 at the Malden Moose

MMDL's FREE ADO event series continues. PLEASE help us spread the word among your team and other players you meet. These qualifiers are a great way to play A LOT of quality, tournament style darts at no cost to you.

501 SI/DO, ADO Rules - Round Robin

Doors open at 11:00am and event to start at 12:00pm

Please print this flyer out and distribute to anyone you think may wish to participate.

Up to 3 men and 3 women will win a free registration ($110 value) to represent the MMDL at the upcoming ADO Regional East/West Tournament on May 12th in Amesbury, MA. Winners on May 12 will advance to the national competitions. As always, there is no entry fee for this qualifier and all MMDL members* in good standing are invited to attend.

Participants will play 501 in a round-robin format. This format could take up the entire day and you will throw a lot of games, so please make sure you can make the full-day commitment to participate. For anyone who loves to play darts, this is a great opportunity with no cost to you. We especially encourage all female players to come out and give it a go and improve their game for Tuesday nights while supporting the growth of women's darts in the USA.

* In order to qualify for an MMDL event you must have played at least 3 matches in the prior season or 1 match in the current season.

[MMDL] It's Doubles for Dough at the MMDL 501 Championship - May 19 at the Dalton Post!

How well do you know your way out? In the game of 501, only the fastest finishers in each division will grab the cash and bear the crown of league champion for the remainder of the year. Come join in the fun of finding out whose double shooting is tops in the league. Think you're good? Want to see what good darts really look like? Come to the Dalton Post and find out where you rate against your league peers.

[MMDL] Week 4 Standings & Roster Change Policy Reminder

The following is meant to clarify MMDL's policies on adding or replacing players on your team roster.

It is ESSENTIAL for all MMDL Team Captains to understand and comply with the league roster change policies. These policies were designed to ensure equitable and fair competition for all divisions. MMDL understands that the unpredictability of life often results in players dropping out mid-season, or other reasons for additions or replacements, but we must also be protective of the integrity of league competition, prevent attempts to manipulate these rules and have created these policies to create a fair process for all.

DON'T LOSE POINTS - Every season, many captains lose valuable match points because they do not follow the proper procedure when making a roster change. Every point counts in a team's quest for the playoffs, so if you must make a change to your team roster, it is in your best interest to adhere to the following:

Use of an unregistered/unapproved player will result in match penalty points.

All roster changes must be approved by your area director before the new player can play in a match. Make sure that you have received an email or verbal permission from your AD before using a new player.
Teams are allowed to make up to three (3) roster changes before week 8 of the regular season. Absolutely no roster changes will be allowed after this deadline. You must submit your roster change request to your AD at least 24 hours prior to your scheduled Week 8 match.
Your official roster can be checked at any time on the MMDL Stats Website. If a player's name does not appear on this site as a member of your team, then they are not approved to play.
