Good luck to all teams in their quest for the prestigious State Championship of the World's Largest Steel Tip League!  Time to make your push to the end, finish strong and start preparing for the postseason challenge!

Please download your area playoff schedule and read the important reminders below. Most importantly, please check with your home sponsor about any seasonal parties (it's wedding/graduation season) that may conflict with playoff matches, particularly any Thursdays that you are scheduled to play so that you can make alternative arrangements.  Proactive communication goes a long way, a quick phone call can prevent a lot of headaches.

IMPORTANT REMINDERS FOR PLAYOFF TEAMS:

1. PLAYOFF ELIGIBILITY: Please remember that all players must have played in a minimum of 3 regular season matches in order to qualify for the playoffs.  Players who have been deemed ineligible by the league will have their names appear in italics on the MMDL Stats Website.  If you have any questions about this policy, please contact your Area Director or the League Commissioner.

2. Please remember to remind your sponsor about the possibility for Thursday night playoff matches and check their schedule for conflicts with parties or other events. If your sponsor  hosts multiple teams, please check for conflicts to avoid overcrowding.
   

3. Winning captains - DON'T FORGET - report playoff match results immediately following your win, call or email your area director as instructed on the playoff schedule sheet.

4. Driving Directions to Opponent's Sponsor are available from the MMDL Stats Website. Note: May not contain every sponsor, if you don't find yours, try mapquest.com or Google Maps.

5. IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS regarding the playoffs, please contact your Area Director.  ADs are extremely busy during the playoffs and have many other captains to consider, so please be patient and make sure you have all of your information and questions at hand when contacting them. AD contact info is listed on your area playoff schedule or click here.

6. Playoff Results will be reported after each round is completed on the MMDL website - the downloadable schedule will be updated with advancing teams.  Make sure you check the schedule date code to ensure you have the most up to date version.
   

7. TIP: For a match report, since these are not mailed into the league, you may use an extra blank regular season match report (separate the three carbons so you have three copies to use), or just a blank piece of paper.  To download a blank match report that you can print out, click here.

[MMDL] Email match reports and speed up scores for the playoffs

Just a few more weeks until MMDL's post season begins. Wouldn't you like to see your scores get updated faster?

Start sending your match reports in via email and see your scores and division standings updated typically within 24 hours!

Submit your regular season weekly match reports via email! 
It's fast and easy as long as you can send a CLEAR image of your report.

METHOD #1 - SMARTPHONE CAMERA with FREE CAM SCANNER APP

Using a smartphone camera or document scanning app is accepted as long as you make sure image quality is readable..  If you wish to submit a picture, please double check and make sure the image is very clear and easily readable OR IT MAY BE REJECTED WHICH WILL CAUSE FURTHER DELAYS.

WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND you download and use the FREE CAM SCANNER app, available on all major mobile platforms:
 

METHOD #2 - *BEST METHOD* - DOCUMENT SCANNER
Using a scanner is the best way to make sure you take a clear image of your report and do not encounter any glitches or further delays in processing.  If possible, please use this method to avoid any issues.

NOTE: Please remember the following when emailing your match report:

• ALWAYS keep a hardcopy of the match report on hand as a backup. 
• Reports submitted later than Saturday 12noon following the match are subject to late penalty point deductions.
• Please also include the final score of your match in the body of your email.
• DO NOT send your report by email AND US postal mail, DO ONE OR THE OTHER ONLY
• If your scores are not posted within 24 hours after submission, contact your statistician

EVENT FORMAT UPDATE!
Women's singles events have now been merged in with all divisions and the Bronze section has been reinstated.

This change has been made based on the attendance patterns of several consecutive events and requests by members for this event to follow the same co-ed integration as league night.  If you wish to have dedicated women's events returned to the program, please attend this year's tournament and express your opinions to the tournament organizing staff.

[MMDL] Week 9 Standings

PLEASE NOTE: Scores received via postal mail today and tomorrow will not be reflected in the posted standings until sometime Monday, April 7.  If you'd prefer your scores posted as soon as possible every week, you should consider sending them in via email. We are also recommending everyone who does this with a smartphone to download the "Cam Scanner" app as many are submitting illegible images which delays all score reporting.

DART WORLD'S PIRANHA HIGH OUT WINNERS

Every week of the regular season, Dart World will be awarding a FREE set of their best selling Piranha Darts to the player in A&B divisions and the player in C-E divisions that earn the top high-out all star achievement.  Winners should claim their prize by sending an email with their choice of Piranha Darts and a valid US shipping address to mmdl.bod@gmail.com.  Once you receive them, please also send us a picture of yourself with your new darts.

[MMDL] Five Reasons you should attend our next ADO qualifier

If you've never attended, you're missing out on a great day filled with competitive darts at little cost other than your time.  Here are FIVE more reasons you should be attending:

1. Help support the MMDL in proudly sending our best of the best players to represent us in National and International competitions.
2. Play for the practice, improve your game, win more on league night.  You'll play a full day of darts against both new and experienced players, witness how the best players play the game and pick up pointers you can immediately put to use.  Consider it like a clinic for darts.
   
3. Surprise yourself and become nationally ranked.  The more you play ADO events and the more successful you become, you'll earn ranking points and be listed among the nation's best ADO shooters.  Our region is one of the largest and offers more opportunities to earn ranking points than most of the USA, so it's not a stretch for improving players to make the list and move up over time.
4. Meet new people who share your interest in playing a lot of darts!  It's never a bad thing to expand your dart network and make some friends that could end up future team mates on a championship squad.
5. It has been scientifically proven that throwing more darts can help you lose weight, live longer, win the lottery, make unicorns real and improve your love life.  Ok, ok, we couldn't come up with a real fifth reason...

MMDL's FREE ADO event series continues. PLEASE help us spread the word among your team and other MMDL players you meet.  These qualifiers are a great way to play A LOT of quality, tournament style darts at no cost to you.  We especially encourage players to come out and give it a go and improve their game for league nights while supporting the growth of men's and women's darts in the USA.

Winners of this qualifier will earn entry ($110 value) to the ADO East/West All Stars Regional competition scheduled for June 1st at the Barn in Amesbury, MA. Winners from the Regional will represent MMDL and Area 5-1 at the ADO National U.S. Masters competition in Charlotte, NC in April.  U.S. Masters winners will be sent to compete at the World Masters in England next October.

DIRECTIONS

ELIGIBILITY:
In order to participate in this MMDL event you must have played at least 3 matches in the prior season or 1 match in the current season.

Doors open at 10:30am and event to start at 11:30am. Registration closes 15 minutes prior to start.

NOTE:  Players that go deep in the tournament will likely play late into the day and possibly evening -- make sure you can commit to the entire day of darts, leaving before completing your matches may suspend you from future qualifiers.

Up to 3 men and 3 women will win a free registration ($110 value) to represent the MMDL at the upcoming ADO East/West All Stars Regional on June 1 in Amesbury.  Winners from that will advance to the national competition. As always, there is no entry fee for this qualifier and all MMDL members* in good standing are invited to attend.
