This is a final reminder that the first captain's meetings for all MMDL areas are scheduled for NEXT WEEK. Captains, please make sure you have your Spring 2010 roster form filled out completely with ALL PLAYER INFO and that you will have your sponsor's check in hand to turn into your area director.

Updated area playoff schedules are now available with first round results for most divisions. See links below to download. Captains of advancing teams with choice for location are encouraged to make contact with your opponent immediately with your choice of home or away for the opening match.

As we end the regular season and enter our playoffs, the MMDL Board of Directors wishes to thank all of our members and sponsors for a great Fall season and wish everyone a safe and happy holiday season!

Results for Week 14 of the Fall 2009 season are now available on the MMDL Statistics Website. Scores will be updated over this weekend with any late arriving match results. Contact your div. rep or area director if you have questions about your points and playoff seeding.

A few important reminders regarding the upcoming playoffs:

We want to remind all teams that it is important that you mail this week's final match report immediately following your match to prevent delays in score reporting that are needed to determine playoff positioning
If you are a home team and out of playoff contention, please still comply with this request as your cooperation is necessary for a smooth transition into the postseason
Make sure you are also aware of any potential Tuesday or Thursday conflicts at your sponsor with the holiday party season upon us

ATTN MMDL FLIGHT SCHOOL ENROLLEES - Flight School Instructor, Frank Smith had his computer crash. If you enrolled in flight school and have not heard back from Frank, please resend your email request to him for participation at tazinmass@comcast.net. For more details on flight school, click here.

HOW LATE DO YOU START YOUR MATCH? - The Board of Directors is taking a serious look at match start times across the league. It is no secret that many matches do not start by 7:30 according to the rules, and are not underway by 8pm either. Stronger enforcement and point penalties are being considered as a way to keep matches from running too late and to curtail increasingly late arrivals by visiting teams. If you have comments, questions or input on this matter, please consider posting in the MMDL Forums or sending an email to your Area Director.

[MMDL] MMDL Spring 2010 Season Announcement

Dear MMDL Member:

The Spring season of MMDL is just around the corner! Captains' meetings for the next season of darts are all in the first week of January, so get your teams together now!

Attached are the Season Announcement and Team Roster Application Form for the Spring 2010 season. Please forward this to anyone you think may be interested in participating in MMDL.

This information will also be made available on the MMDL website very soon, and we will also later be providing the roster form in Acrobat Electronic Format which will enable you to type up your roster right on your computer. Please stay tuned for future emails on when this will be available.

MMDL DRAFT: For players seeking teams and teams needing additional shooters, the MMDL maintains an online "draft" system for people to connect and find each other. Click here to visit the draft page. Act now if you wish to employ the draft as it can take some time to connect with people through this system.

[MMDL] Updated SS and SA Playoff Schedules & Benefit Dart Events

Please see below for information on important upcoming dart tournaments for charity.

Dear MMDL Member:

Attached please find updated playoff schedules for the South Shore Area and Super A (all areas). The SS Schedule corrects some typos in the brackets and the SA Schedule now outlines the special format and tiebreaker rules for Super A. Please discard the previous versions of these documents that you received last week.

Schedules for all areas will be posted shortly on the MMDL website. Please contact your division rep or area director if you have any questions about the playoffs.

[MMDL] Announcing "MMDL Flight School"

"MMDL Flight School" is a structured program designed to help anyone willing to put in the time to take their dart game to the highest level possible. You'll follow a practice program designed by the legendary George Silberzahn, author of "Mastering the Art of Darts" and "Darts - Beginning to End," and be coached by Frank Smith, longtime MMDL member and multiple Super A State Champion.

More than just a set of practice routines, Flight School will help you address your personal dart game, including both the physical and mental aspects of high performance.

Flight School is a "remote" program, meaning you will receive coaching via email, and will be given goals and routines to work on at home at your own pace and fit into whatever time you have available.

This program is open to any MMDL player with the desire to improve.
